Lookout Point Dam

#OTD in 1954, Portland District, US Army Corps of Engineers Lookout Point Dam on the middle fork of the Willamette River began generating hydropower. It’s primary purpose, however, is for flood risk management … and 60 years later, it has prevented more than $5.3 billion in potential flood damages.
