Everyone wants to get ahead of a potential winter storm and now you can. NWS has added the experimental Day 4-7 Winter Weather Outlook to complement the Day 1 - 3 Snowfall Probability Forecasts. This looks at possible snow and sleet accumulation 4 to 7 days in the future will improve winter weather forecasts by helping to identify large scale systems before they have a major impact. Updated twice daily, the new tools will support better decision-making by the public, emergency managers and transportation planners across the nation.
