The Statistical Peak of the Atlantic Hurricane Season

Today (Sept. 10) marks the statistical peak of the Atlantic hurricane season (which runs from June 1 to November 30), based on the total number of storms per 100 years. However, deadly hurricanes can occur anytime in the hurricane season.
