Fort Gibson Dam

Beautiful photo of Tulsa District's Fort Gibson Dam this week. This photograph was taken by Jim Montgomery of the Fort Gibson Lake Office. The tainter gates were releasing 92,000 cubic feet per second in this photograph. Fort Gibson was placed into service in September 1953. The project was constructed for the purpose of flood control and hydroelectric power.
