Water makes it way down a steep ridge crisscrossing itself at Palette Spring.

From Yellowstone National Park:

Water makes it way down a steep ridge crisscrossing itself at Palette Spring. Travertine builds up quickly at Mammoth Hot Springs causing the features to change constantly as evidenced by the once living tree. While features are always changing here, the overall activity of the entire area and the amount of water being discharged remains relatively constant.
