Shasta Dam

From the Bureau of Reclamation:

The Dam of the Week is Shasta Dam in California!

Shasta dam is the 2nd largest dam in mass in the United States (Grand Coulee on the Columbia River in Washington is the largest). The dam is 602 feet high, with a crest length of 3,460 feet. Like another curved gravity dam (Hoover Dam), it was a continuous pour concrete project, and, in its day, ranked as one of the great civil engineering feats of the world.
