Pilots are Indispensible

From Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve:

Nearly everything we do in this park is made possible by pilots. Because this park is not located on the road system access is primarily by small aircraft, usually on floats, for both visitors and staff.

Pilots drop off staff for patrols and field work, assist in animal surveys, help with search and rescue operations, keep an eye on park boundaries during hunting season, and occasionally take a moment to snap a fabulous shot of the Brooks Range from the air. ~DL
