Here's a New Year's resolution you can start on right away: Wear a life jacket and layered clothing when you are out on the lake during cold weather conditions.
Remember: When a person falls into cold water, the resulting gasp inhales 600 to 1000% more air than a normal breath. A lifejacket could be the difference between life and death.
