Cave 2 and its T-shaped door are evidence of Ancestral Puebloan influence in the construction of the Gila Cliff Dwellings.
What is the purpose of this T-shaped door? Does the shape of this door mean the same to the Mogollon as it did for the Pueblos? Or was it just a interesting piece of architecture that one of the Mogollon decided to include in the construction of this dwelling?
This T-shaped door is one of the many mysteries surrounding the Gila Cliff Dwellings and the Mogollon that called the cliffs home.
