EASTERN PACIFIC - NASA Sees Heavy Rain in System 90E

From NASA's Hurricane Web Page:

EASTERN PACIFIC - NASA Sees Heavy Rain in System 90E
System 90E, a concentrated area of showers and thunderstorms is associated with a low pressure system located about 700 miles south-southeast of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. Satellite data indicate that the circulation of the low has become much better defined overnight.
NASA/JAXA's GPM core satellite passed over System 90E and measured rainfall rates within the storm. GPM found that rates of rainfall were as much as 1.4 inches per hour (purple) around the center of circulation. The GPM rain data was laid on top of an infrared image of System 90E's clouds from NOAA's GOES-East satellite, making a complete picture of the storm inside and out.
The National Hurricane Center said that environmental conditions are conducive for additional development, and a tropical depression is likely to form during the next day or so while this disturbance moves toward the west-northwest or northwest.
