With the lack of snow this last winter, roads and trails have been melting out of the snow much faster than average. In fact, the road to Mowich Lake and the trail up to Eunice Lake (and Tolmie Lookout) open soon for the summer. Sometimes the weather gives us great early hiking and sometimes late season opportunities too, like in this slide from October, 1940.
