GOES East captured this infrared image of Tropical Storm Sandra, which is currently rotating off the coast of Mexico.
According to the National Weather Service, Sandra is headed west-northwest and has maximum sustained winds near 50 mph (85 km/h) with occasional higher gusts. The storm is expected to strengthen during the next 48 hours and will likely become a hurricane on Wednesday (11.25).
