SOUTHERN PACIFIC OCEAN - Tropical Storm Tuni Forms
Tropical cyclone Tuni formed today in the Southern Pacific about 157 miles west of Pago Pago, American Samoa. It was centered near 14.2 south latitude and 173.4 west longitude.
Tuni was moving to the east-southeast at 11 knots and had maximum sustained winds near 40 knots (46 mph/74 kph).
American Samoa, Niue are expected to feel the effects of Tuni.

Tuni is forecast to east-southeast, later southeast, while intensifying slightly. In a couple of days, Tuni will transition to an extra-tropical storm.
