National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

From National Park Service

O Christmas tree...

Tonight the National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony was held at President's Park (White House) and ushered in the holiday season. Musical performances and a special message from NPS employees around the country highlighted the annual event.

You can watch the event premiere on Ovation TV and ReelzChannel on December 2 at 10 p.m. EST. Learn more about this annual celebration athttps://www.nps.gov/whho/planyourvisit/national-christmas-tree.htm

The National Park Service has cared for the White House and its grounds since 1933. President’s Park, which includes the Ellipse and Lafayette Park, was officially included in the national park system in 1961.
