According to the weather report this morning, we only have 9 inches of snow at the Park Headquarters. The average snow depth on this date is 98 inches.
"Crater Lake National Park received nearly 100% of its normal precipitation this winter, but only 30% of its normal snow fall." said Management Assistant Scott Burch. For the last few years, drier and warmer climate at Crater Lake has led the park to take water conservation measures as we continue to welcome visitors from all around the world.
