WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), a member of the Senate Budget Committee, today released the following statement regarding Senate passage of the conference report for the fiscal year 2016 budget.
“Left to my own accord this budget would look far different, but at the end of the day I believe it’s important for Congress to complete this basic tenet of governing and set the stage for a responsible appropriations process,” said Corker. “Restoring our nation’s fiscal health will demand a much more serious effort, and I hope next year’s budget process will make much greater progress toward truly addressing the fiscal challenges our country faces.”
