West Creek Home Elevation Proved Wise After Hurricane Sandy (ID: 66550)

West Creek, N.J., June 11, 2013 -- Since Hurricane Irene three years ago, rebuilding with FEMA’s technical bulletin and elevating to Base Flood Elevation standards has proved wise for this West Creek bungalow. Hurricane Sandy damaged nearly 50 homes on their street last fall and by contrast, leaving their residence with the least amount of damage. Rosanna Arias/FEMA
