One for Santa, With Ice

From the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS):

One for Santa, With Ice — You may have heard that an atmospheric river moving over the Pacific Northwest brought warmer temperatures and dumped inches of rain that caused widespread flooding. The warmer temperatures also thawed some iced-over rivers, like the St. Maries River near Santa (yes, Santa), Idaho. An ice jam built up on the river upstream of our streamgage, and then was released as temperatures warmed. The river rose out of its banks, depositing the ice in the floodplain.
