SOUTHERN PACIFIC OCEAN - System 92P Forms Near Solomon Islands.
The tropical low pressure area System 92P developed near 9.6 south latitude and 165.9 east longitude, about 350 miles east of Honiara, Solomon Islands. It is moving to the east.
This GOES-West satellite image shows a large area of disorganized low pressure with an ill-defined circulation. System 92P is dealing with moderate vertical wind shear and has a low chance to develop into a depression in the next 24 hours.
