#NERRS Fun Fact: Padilla Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve in Washington State boasts an 8,000-acre eelgrass meadow--a critical nursery for salmon, crab, perch, and herring. Eelgrass also provides habitat for millions of invertebrates that are food for otters, seals, eagles, heron . . . and us!
