From NASA's Hurricane Web Page:
EASTERN PACIFIC - As Hurricane Linda Heads North, Another Low is Developing
Disorganized showers and thunderstorms located south of the coast of Central America are associated with a tropical wave. An area of low pressure is expected to develop in association with the wave later this week several hundred miles south of the Gulf of Tehuantepec.
The National Hurricane Center said that environmental conditions are forecast to be conducive for gradual development of this low while it moves generally west-northwestward
at about 10 mph. This has a low chance for development in the next 2 days, but those chances improve to 50% in 5 days.
This is an image of the low pressure area from NOAA's GOES-West satellite.
