Armed Bank Robber Sentenced to 211 Months’ Imprisonment

OXFORD, MS—Felicia C. Adams, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Mississippi, and Special Agent in Charge Donald Alway, Federal Bureau of Investigation, announced that Cordette Lindell Mottley, 28, of Como, Mississippi, was sentenced yesterday by United States District Judge Michael P. Mills in Oxford, Mississippi, to 211 months’ imprisonment followed by three years of supervised release, restitution in the amount of $1200 and a special assessment of $100.
Mottley, a career offender, previously pled guilty on May 12, 2015, to the armed robbery of First Security Bank, Como, Mississippi, in violation of 18 U.S. C. Sections 2113(a) and (d). Mottley was remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshal Service pending designation by the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Panola County Sheriff’s Office and was prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Mississippi.
