Two Sundogs Spotted From Kulm, North Dakota | U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Mountain-Prairie Region




Two sundogs spotted from Kulm, North Dakota on a -12 degree Fahrenheit morning in January. A sundog is caused by the refraction of sunlight through ice crystals in the air, creating an “ice halo” which looks like a bright spot on either side of the sun. More: http://bit.ly/2nn92cV
