About 24 million light-years away in the constellation of Canes Venatici (The Hunting Dogs) lies a spiral galaxy that is a beautiful clump of glowing gas, dark dust and glittering stars. This Hubble Space Telescope image is part of telescope's first ultraviolet “atlas,” a survey of 50 nearby star-forming galaxies.
