BROOMFIELD, CO - Mechanics Brent Schoumaker and Rob Miletic oversee the engine starts of Twin Otter #NOAA46 as it prepares for a FIREX-AQ test flight this afternoon. The Fire Influence on Regional to Global Environments and Air Quality (FIREX-AQ) project is the most comprehensive investigation on the impact of wildfire and biomass smoke on air quality and weather in the continental United States.
