Widespread snow is expected today with major impacts through Thursday, says the NOAA NWS. Snow is expected to continue over the northern mountains, northeast highlands and plains of New Mexico today and spread south and west. (www.weather.gov)

This GOES-West RGB image captured at 2:00 p.m. EST, on January 21, 2015. The RGB is a combination of visible and infrared imagery using a three channel technique to form a Red/Green/Blue false color image.
