Weather Data Collection
From the NOAA Hurricane Hunters:
#NOAA42 (A #NOAA P-3) sits under a waning crescent moon in Halifax, Nova Scotia this past weekend. Dr. James McFadden (NOAA/AOC Chief of Programs) reported that the temperature was 3˚F with a wind chill of -17˚F on Saturday morning as the crew prepared to fly a mission over theLabrador Sea. The purpose of the mission was to collect data during two different satellite overpasses in support of The NOAA Satellite and Information Service.
