'Zombie Plane' theory revives Jon Stewart's CNN rant | Comedy Central - Yahoo Screen

Jon Stewart ripped into CNN's coverage — again — of the missing Malaysia Air Flight 370 on Tuesday night. The host of "The Daily Show" first mocked the cable networks' wall-to-wall coverage of the airline disappearance a week ago. This time he focused on CNN, poking fun at the news network for considering a "zombie plane theory" because, as Stewart told it, "Zombies are hot, yo." Stewart roasted CNN for "pointing at s--t and wondering what it is." He added, "Who knew the place where we dump a tremendous amount of our trash … is filled with a tremendous amount of our trash." He recapped the 24-hour news network's conclusion: "There is a lot of non-Malaysian airline garbage in the ocean. The heavier of which sinks. The lighter of which floats. Let us go now go to Wolf Blitzer in the new Duh Room." Viewers seemed to appreciate Stewart's anti-CNN rant. @Bobadilla88 tweeted, "Shout out to The Daily Show and Jon Stewart for expressing my frustration with CNN." @ONaikMD wrote, "Another excellent take-down by @TheDailyShow on the farce that is now @CNN ." @BVGamble posted, "@CNN don't get mad. You know Jon Stewart is right." Even the media seemed to appreciate the rant: "If CNN's obsessive coverage of the vanished Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 is getting a little threadbare by this point, Jon Stewart's fulsome criticism of the original cable news network never grows old," wrote the Week. One online news outlet, Free Malaysia Today, called out the clip as "hilarious but with substance."
