The Seattle Safe Streets Task Force is seeking information about a bank robber nicknamed the “Rabid Fan Bandit.”
The unidentified bank robber is believed to have robbed at least five different banks this month, most recently in Lakewood on Monday, March 24. Notably, he has robbed all around the state, including Spokane. In every robbery, he wears a different sports team hat, each showing a logo ranging from the Seahawks to the Alabama Crimson Tide.
A wanted poster, which has information about and photos of this serial robber, whom the task force believes may have also robbed two non-bank establishments in February, appears on the FBI’s bank robbers website at https://bankrobbers.fbi.gov/.
The subject is considered armed and dangerous. Members of the public should refrain from approaching him and, instead, contact law enforcement immediately.
Anyone with information that can help identify this individual is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Callers to Crime Stoppers may remain anonymous and are eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $1,000 if the information given leads to an arrest and charge of the person(s) involved.
The Seattle Safe Streets Task Force is investigating the series of robberies with it partners at the Spokane, Kent, Renton, and Lakewood Police Departments. The task force includes members from the FBI, Bellevue Police Department, Auburn Police Department, King County Sheriff’s Office, and Seattle Police Department.
