From NOAA Satellite and Information Service:
GOES West captured this image of the powerful storm that rammed through the Pacific Northwest November 17, 2015.
Winds clocked as high as 119 mph were recorded in the mountains of Washington state. In the Seattle and Spokane areas, the storm knocked out power to hundreds of thousands of people, toppled trees and damaged buildings. In Oregon, thousands were without power in the greater Portland area and a flood watch was issued for the northern Oregon coast through Wednesday.
