Did you know: The phase 'the Real McCoy' is most often associated with inventor and mechanical engineer, Elijah McCoy? McCoy was born in Canada to fugitive slaves but spent most of his life in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He invented an automatic lubrication system for oiling the steam engines of locomotives and ships still used today, but also invented the folding ironing board and a lawn sprinkler. #blackhistorymonth
