To paraphrase, boys and girls behave differently, in general. Boys tend to be more active and more competitive than girls. Our current society tries to suppress the more active and aggressive behavior that boys tend to exhibit. When the boys grow up, traditional masculine behavior is discouraged.
Society is making a mistake. A healthy society needs individuals with traditionally masculine characteristics. Masculinity is not toxic.
The churches need to step up and promote the message that churches are safe spaces where boys can be boys and men can be men.
