Hickman Bridge | Capitol Reef National Park

#trailtuesday!

Hickman Bridge is a popular 0.9 mile (1.4km) one way trail that gains 400 ft (122m). It brings visitors from Highway 24 to a 133 foot natural bridge, with wide canyon views on the way up. Standing under this bridge is a reminder how powerful water can be as it erodes the rocks of Capitol Reef.

Because of its popularity, parking is often full. You may wish to enjoy the trail in the late fall or winter when you can find greater solitude on your hike.
For more information on the trails of Capitol Reef, visit the hiking section of the park website at:https://www.nps.gov/care/planyourvisit/hiking.htm
