A PRAYER DURING HURRICANE IRMA

From The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod:

A PRAYER DURING HURRICANE IRMA

Holy Father, Your Son spoke of people’s hearts failing them for fear of what was coming upon the world as the waves of the sea rise and nations are in turmoil. Look in mercy on all who have been devastated by Hurricane Irma in the Caribbean and Florida, especially all who have lost loved ones, home or employment. Remember those still struggling from Hurricane Harvey’s aftermath. Keep the hearts of all disaster responders from despair, and fill them with good courage. Even though the form of this world is passing away, let them minister in the sure certainty of what never can pass away: Your love in Jesus Christ. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer.
